Kelly DeLeon


Kelly joined Indian River Land Company, Inc. in January of 2006 after receiving her real estate license. Previously, she has had years of experience in the real estate industry as she worked for a Delaware Beach Real Estate Firm as a Rental Agent and Administrative Assistant for over 4 years while attending college. Kelly is also a National Board Certified Librarian with a Master's Degree of Instruction and is the Library Media Specialist and International Baccalaureate coordinator at Sussex Central High School. 

Kelly's husband Brian, is employed by Pyramid Trucking as a dispatcher. Kelly has two sons, Lane, 20, who is aviation student and pitcher at Delaware State University, and Trace, 18, who attends the University of Delaware and works at the family business, CrossFit Unlocked. 

CrossFit is Kelly's other passion, and the entire family works out together nightly at Crossfit Unlocked as a way to stay in shape.

Deziree Gardner


My name is Deziree Gardner. I am a mother of three children; Hazel, Eli and Tj. I have worked as a Spanish Teacher at Sussex Central High School for nine years. I love to travel, learn languages and spend time with my family. I have lived in Sussex County my entire life and enjoy country living. I have always had a passion for real estate and was blessed to have the opportunity to take the pre-licensure course and exam during this unfortunate time. I am super excited to begin my career in real estate!

Lisa Hershelman


Lisa has been a REALTOR® with Indian River Land Company, Inc. for over 30 years and has been a REALTOR® in Sussex County for 35 years. During her career, she has been a five time receipient of Delaware Today Magizine's Five Star Professional. Lisa handles residential and commercial sales as well as property management. 

Lisa lives in Georgetown with her husband, Jim. She has two sons that currently reside in Lewes, Delaware with thier families. When Lisa is not working, she enjoys spending time with her four grandchildren, Audrey, Olivia, Grant & Cora Lee. 

Lisa is well known throughout the community for her civic involvement with the Georgetown Little League, Sussex Central Sports Boosters and the Historic Georgetown Association. 


Christopher M. Lind

Managing Broker

Chris is the third generation at Indian River Land Company, Inc. Chris began working at Indian River Land Company after graduating from college with his degree in Business Administration. Chris received his Real Estate License in 2006, and received his Broker's License in 2011. He is currently the companies Managing Broker handling the day-to-day operations of the company.

Born and raised in Sussex County, Chris has a deep knowledge of all areas in Sussex County. 

Actively involved in the real estate industry, Chris is a Past President of the Sussex County Association of REALTORS®. Additionally, Chris has served on the Sussex County Association of REALTORS® MLS Committee, was the past chair of the Association's Young Professionals Network and is currently the chair of the Bylaws Committee. 

Chris and his wife reside in Millsboro and they enjoy boating and spending time on the water. 

Sherry L. Mitchell


Sherry Mitchell joined Indian River Land Company, Inc. in May 2013 as a REALTOR® and has been a top producer since that time. She is a life-long resident of Sussex County. Sherry graduated from Wilmington University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Early Childhood/Elementary Education and retired from teaching in the Indian River School District in 2011.

Sherry and her husband Jeff reside in Millsboro and have one daughter and one granddaughter. Sherry enjoys spending time with family and friends, gardening, reading, and enjoying the local beaches.  

She also enjoys visiting her favorite vacation spot, Hatteras Island, North Carolina.

Patti Payne


Patti retired in 2014 from Delaware Tech Community College and after working for 26 years for the State of Delaware, including 4 years spent at Long Neck Elementary. She worked in the Learning Resource Center at the College where she enjoyed working with the community. After retirement, she volunteered at the Job Center located at the Georgetown Library where she helped people look for and interview for jobs.

Patti has been interested in real estate for years because her husband is a builder, and she has helped him with his business. She enjoyed helping with open houses for homes that he built to sell. After working with a REALTOR® to sell her dad’s properties, she knew she wanted to take the course to become a REALTOR®. When she was ready to take her test, COVID-19 delayed it for a few months, but she passed her test and is ready to start working with the community once again.

Patti lives in Georgetown with her husband, and they have 3 children and 6 grandchildren. They love spending their free time fishing in the Indian River.

Shannon C. Schnabele

Associate Broker

In 2002 Shannon and her family moved to the beautiful State of Delaware from the Washington D.C. area. She has been a successful REALTOR® since January 2011. Prior to entering the real estate profession, Shannon worked in the field of aviation as a Program Liaison. She also has vast experience in public relations, marketing, and sales which enhances her ability to assist clients. Shannon is an alumnus of the University of Maryland, graduated in 1989 with a Bachelor of Science degree. She is also certified in Short Sale Transactions.

She is a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Club, Daughters of the American Revolution, In Cambridge Who's Who for Women in Business and a member of the Real Estate Knowledge Group. Shannon is actively involved in the Sussex County School System, Make a Wish Foundation and Clean Stream Program.

Jennifer A. Stevenson


Jennifer joined Indian River Land Company, Inc. in July of 2017 as a REALTOR®.

Jennifer graduated with a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Delaware in 1999.  After graduation, she went on to spend nearly 19 years working in state government. After a lifetime of growing up and working in Sussex County, she is familiar with the beaches, as well as, the western side of the county.

Jennifer recently moved to Millsboro and enjoys all the things that our area has to offer, particularly in the summer months. She spends most weekends on the beach or gardening. In her spare time, Jennifer volunteers for the GFWC Acorn Club and is deeply involved with Special Olympics Torch Run.
